We are not spectators

"We are not mere spectators when there is a Divine Liturgy and we are in the Church. We may be spectators when we are at a soccer match or when we stand in front of the television set. In the Divine Liturgy we are by no means spectators. All of us not only liturgize but we are being liturgized as well.
This is why we are also responsible. Like the priest is responsible for the way in which he stands in front of the Holy Altar, in exactly the same way the laity are responsible for the way in which they stand inside the Church Temple."
